Geoff Hunt is a British maritime artist best known for his series of book cover paintings for Patrick O'Brian's historical naval novels, such as 'Master and Commander' (which feature Captain Jack Aubrey and naval surgeon Stephen Maturin). Considered one of the world's leading maritime painters and historians and a sailor himself, Geoff Hunt's nautical art is in the permanent collections of the Royal Navy Museum and the Royal Navy Submarine Museum as well as private collections. His work is known for its historical accuracy and attention to detail. He is currently President of the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
