ART PAPER AND CANVAS SAMPLE KIT The kit is a sampling of all paper and canvas media that is available for my prints so you can see and feel the difference between them. Similar papers are printed with the same image to make this even easier. For my color giclee prints I recommend the Premium Photo Luster*1 paper or and for my more color neutral art prints like 'Sinuosity #1', or 'Smooth Moves', or similar faux charcoal art, I prefer the Ultrasmooth Fine Art*2 paper. However, any of these fine products will serve you well. I like the Luster paper for its color range and smooth gradations and the Ultrasmooth for its beautiful handling of the deep darks in the black and white.
As for the canvas choices, I prefer the the Pro Matte Canvas*3, but its really a matter of personal taste for either of them. They both look great.

Hahnemuehle Torchon
Torchon by Hahnemuhle, is an acid free cotton rag watercolor paper with a parchment or pastel paper surface. Especially suitable for reproductions of oil, watercolor and pastel paintings. The printed side of this paper has been specially coated for excellent image sharpness and optimum color graduation. The coating also offers a very high level of water resistance. Common applications include fine art reproduction, business cards, greetings cards, post cards, novelty applications, certificates and presentation prints for display purposes.
A smooth bright white 100% rag based paper specifically designed to meet the need of photographers or artists using digital photographic output. The heavier 308 gsm paper provides the weight of an art paper with a smooth calendared surface, which picks up every detail captured in the photograph. The coated side of this paper provides excellent image sharpness and optimum color graduation. The coating also offers a very high level of water resistance. FineArt Pearl 285gsm is a triple coated, lignin free, 100% alpha-cellulose paper. Note Well: Always use archival quality materials, even for the backing, hang your art (of whatever type - oil painting, watercolor, giclée print, etc.) out of direct sunlight and well away from sources of moisture, fumes, and heat. Use the more expensive U.V. glazing materials where applicable.
The acrylic plexiglass, which is not explicitly meant to protect against U.V., screens out 80% of the U.V. rays; it's more protective than plain glass. The U.V. rated acrylic screens out 99%. Non-glare glass or acrylic increases visibility but reduces contrast.
Warning*** ammonia based cleaners can affect some of these protective materials. Clean the glazing as recommended.
