Ansel Adams (February 20, 1902 – April 22, 1984), an outstanding photographer famous for his black and white photographs, he had a career that encompassed more than 60 years and was an active environmentalist. He was Director of the Sierra Club from 1934 to 1971. Ansel Adams is best known for his photography of the American West and the U.S. National Parks.
His artwork has been on exhibit at most major museums, he wrote over thirty books and he was awarded the American Medal of Freedom.
